The truck driver I mentioned had problems with conversing. I hesitate to say he was a deaf mute, but he had difficulty hearing and speaking. He was known for saying the truck had "plenty power". I did ride with him one night to New Bedford and back. My mother was apprehensive about him, but he was the perfect host on the ride.
